Southern Hospitality

This quilt looked so calming to me, I had to make it.  It is made with a variety of different types of green fabrics.  There are some batiks, some civil war, and even a fabric with a snow flake on it.  It just goes to show you that you can mix fabrics and still create something beautiful.

The pattern is from Studio 180 Design.  It is entitled Southern Hospitality.  It requires the use of the Square Squared tool and the Tucker Trimmer.  There are several basic units in this quilt, but what really grabbed my attention was the migrating geese border.  Migrating geese are different than flying geese in that they don’t fly in a straight line.  They really add a very different look.

If you are interested in any of these tools, or patterns feel free to contact me.  If you would like to make this quilt top as a guild workshop, contact me and I we can discuss the details.
